haberstro fishing club
branding system
The Haberstro Fishing Club is a family summer fishing team based in Avon Lake, Ohio. They love walleye fishing in the waters of Lake Erie, located in Northern Ohio. The project is a logo and a sub-logo for a family sports team, along with team uniforms and brand identity guidelines.
The color palette represents the waters of Lake Erie. The typeface, Prohibition, embellishes a sporty look. The walleye, nicknamed Willy, is the first symbol that the viewer is drawn to.
The towers and pier light resemble Avon Lake’s power plant and pier that overlooks the water. The fishing hooks remind the viewer of the hooks that are used to catch the walleye. The badge brings together the logo to create a sporty appearance. Using Willy as a sub-logo captures the sport’s atmosphere and adds personality to the brand.
